Sim Cheong est une sirène qui se retrouve propulsée aux temps modernes. Elle est attrapée par Heo Jun Jae, un escroc charmant mais froid, sosie de Kim Dam Ryeong, le fils d'un noble de la dynastie Joseon.Alors que Kim Dam Ryeong était celui qui avait libéré Sim Cheong lorsqu'elle avait été capturée par un pêcheur dans l'océan au cours de cette période, dans le présent, Jun Jae travaille avec Jo Nam Du, un arnaqueur apprenant à celui-ci à devenir un escroc de génie.Cha Si Ah est une amie de Jun Jae, chercheuse à KAIST, l'institut supérieur coréen des sciences et technologies. Celle-ci pourrait bien être le seul espoir de Sim Cheong afin de survivre dans ce nouveau monde étrange.
