The Kovak Box
David Norton est un auteur de romans de science fiction à succès. Ses livres sont des bestsellers, et sa relation avec sa nouvelle fiancée, Jane, se déroule merveilleusement bien. En voyage à Majorque, pour une conférence littéraire à laquelle il a été conviée, il rencontre Franz Kovak, l un de ses plus grands admirateurs. Peu porté sur les groupies, il tente de l éviter le plus poliment possible. Mais le soir de la conférence, Jane reçoit un étrange coup de fil qui la pousse à se jeter par la fenêtre. Tentant de découvrir la raison de ce suicide, Norton suit une piste qui l amène inexorablement à Kovak. Autour de lui, d'autres personnes sont mystérieusement poussés à se suicider...
